After marrying Sunil Dutt in the same year, she decided to give up her acting career, though she did perform in a few more films. Nargis won several other awards for her outstanding performance in the Indian film industry. Nargis had various hobbies, including dancing, traveling, listening to music, and playing golf. She also loved cricket, and her favorite filmmaker was Mehboob Khan.
